Many women worked as nurses is various places. Some worked in field hospitals and ship hospitals.

Women's Army Corps was formed. 1942 women started serving in non combat areas.

Women served throughout the military and some landing in Normandy a few weeks after D-Day.

Men didn't want women in the war but Roosevelt and General George Marshall approved WAC.

Women served as pilots as WASPS (Women's Air Force Service Pilots).

Women started working in factories more and more. Rosie The Riveter played a big roll in doing that.
