ABOUT ST. VINCENT
- Born in April 24 1587
- He parents were poor and lived in the village of Pouy in Gascony, France
- He was the third child in the family.
Path to Priesthood
- His father encouraged and helped him toward the priesthood.
- On September 23, 1600, at the age of nineteen he was ordained
- St. Vincent de Paul's main was desire to get an office in the Church so he could obtain enough money to retire early, return home, and provide for his family.
