WHEN IT STARTED AND WHY IT STARTED AND WHAT WAS IT
The stamp act started in 1765 in the colonies.
The stamp act started because the British had to pay for the French war. The colonists got mad because they thought that they had nobody speaking at the British Parliament so they didn't have to pay for the war
So they stopped paying the tax and had a meeting on October 7 to October 25.
During the time of the meeting they prepared a protest against the stamp act. After that time the SONS OF LIBERTY/men from the colonies started to form. They took the time to listen to the protests and used intimidation to get tax collectors to reassign to their jobs.
