Leo Borlock- very shy student at Mica who falls in love with stargirl and is also the main character.
Stargirl- new student at Mica high who is very weird. She sings and dances around the hallway and plays a ukulele everywhere she goes and has a very free spirit.
Kevin- Leo's best friend who is quick to judge him
Hillari Kimble- most popular girl who bullies stargirl

SETTING
Mica High School- small town school

A mysterious girl by the name of stargirl enrolls in Mica High School. At first everyone thinks she is very strange and has never seen anything like it. Leo and Kevin are 2 best friends and are also students at Mica High. Leo takes notice to Stargirl and starts falling for her right off the bat. Every one at Mica has never dared to be different for they will be quickly judged. Stargirl becomes hated by Mica because of how different she is. This doesn't keep Leo from liking her. As Leo makes it public that him and Stargirl are dating the whole school turns on him including his best friend Kevin. He asks Stargirl to becomes normal so everyone will accept her. He breaks up with her because nobody likes her. He didn't realize that that was the last time he'd see her again.
