The state dog is the Plott hound.
The Plott hound is athletic,muscular,and agile in appearance.
It has a smooth,dense coat in almost any shade of brindle.
They also have small white patches on their feet,chest,underbelly.

The state flower is the Carolina lily.
The stem of Carolina lily can grow up to 4 feet high and can have up to 6 flowers at the summit.
