STEPHENS EARLY LIFE
Stephen William Hawking was born January 8th, 1942, Oxford, England.
At 11 Stephen went to St. Albans school, then later to University College, his fathers old college
He wanted to study Mathematics, but his father wanted medicine.
Math was not available at University College, so he pursued physics instead.
He was awarded a first class honours degree in Natural Science after three years of work.

HAWKINGS INSPIRATION
His interest was tapped at the work of Roger Penrose
Roger Penrose was studying the fate of stars andbthe creation of black holes
This sparked Hawkings imagination about how the universe began.
It set him on the path that reshaped the way the world thinks about blacks holes and the universe.

Stephen was also a theoretical Physist
He wanted to pusue mathematics but his college did not have it
He was a Cosmologist
He was even an author of about 14 books

It effected people by changing how we think about the universe.
In the link on the previous slide, shows what his theory was
Scientists today are still testing his theory on the hawking radiation
They want to figure out how a black hole can take in information and dissapear.
It goes beyond our laws of physics

Stephen hawking is an author of about 14 books
He was only given a couple more years to live at the age of 21
He is currently 72 years old
He uses a pair of glasses that have a built on sensor to move the cursor on his computer.
His first wife was jane wilde, his second wife was Elaine Mason
