HUNTING AND GATHERING
- Homo erectus was one of the first to start hunting and gathering.
- They were nomadic.
Hunting and gathering may have allowed them to get more food.
It may have given them a different diet, and that could make them healthier.
FIRES
- Homo erectus likely had control.
- They could socialize, and cook.
It may have changed their lives by letting them eat cooked food.
It may have changed their lives by keeping them warm.
FARMING
- Raised and trained animals instead of hunting.
- No longer nomadic.
- Started to take control of environment.
It may have allowed them to have a different diet that was healthier.
It may have changed their lives by not allowing them to be nomadic.
CITIES
- Farming brought communities together.
- When there was more than enough food, people had different jobs.
- Developed other skills.
It may have allowed them to develop other skills, and make their lives easier.
It may have allowed them to have more defence for themselves if they were in large communities.
