  • Any drugs that speeds up the activity of the heart and the brain
  • Increases blood pressure and heart rate and tightens blood vessels
  • Dangers of stimulants In included heart failure,brain damage,and stroke.
  • Stimulants include legal drugs

DEPRESSANTS

  • Any drug that causes activity in the body and brain to slow
  • The effects of depressants are opposite of the effects of stimulants.
  • Many depressants are prescription drugs , such as Valium
  • The most commonly use is alcohol.
