I have done a few presentations now on why it is essential to integrate video into your marketing strategy. It includes great statistics on how everyone loves video, and how FEW realtors are actually using it.

Define your niche. Demonstrate knowledge of an area. Be the first to plant your flag -- or at least be the BEST!

WHAT MAKES YOU DIFFERENT?

Don't shy away from being different. Be memorable -- most importantly be AUTHENTIC. Stay away from scripts, let your personality shine through.

WHAT YOU KNOW?

You do need more than charm to be successful in this business. So once you've got them listening, prove that you ARE COMPETENT.

This is another reason to specialize in a particular area or segment of your market. It's easier to stand out when you aren't being all things to ALL people!

WHAT'S IT LIKE TO WORK WITH YOU?

Let your clients speak on your behalf. This is SO powerful. However, we know it's not easy to be relaxed in front of the camera, so make sure you help get them there.... otherwise a testimonial can be painful to watch.

THIS IS AN EMOTIONAL PROCESS. A great testimonial captures that aspect of the experience. For a buyer, a video inside their new home is great. For a seller, it might be shooting the testimonial inside their old home before it's sold -- or done as a before/after. TIMING IS IMPORTANT.
