  • Think about how you turn words into images when you read
  • Symbolism enhances the meaning of the story

IMAGERY

  • Think about the imagery and how the words bring the story to life.
  • Imagery: using vivid (strong) words to represent objects, actions, or ideas
  • Words that describe: sight, smell, taste, sound, touch
  • How does the author describe the symbols to us? Using Imagery?

REWRITE THE SENTENCE USING IMAGERY
