Fought in an orderly fashion, more disciplined
Went on crusades through the south to bring back democracy
Wanted to obtain forts and the loyalty of Bordering states
Sent spies on cargo trains that go through the south, new railroads built
Naval blockade of the confederate coast line. To weaken economy.
