WHAT IS STRESS

  • a state of mental or emotional strain or tension resulting from adverse or very demanding circumstances.
  • Stress can be positive and negative both resulting in positive or negative outcomes.
  • The most common cause for negative stress is major life changing situations.

CAUSES OF STRESS

  • Being unhappy at your job
  • Having a heavy workload or a lot of responsibility
  • Working long hours
  • The death of a loved one
  • Loss of job or lots of financial obligation

  • Headaches
  • Anxiety
  • Eating disorder
  • Restlessness/lack of sleep
  • Drug/alcohol

STRESS MANAGEMENT

  • Set goals
  • Remove yourself from the stressful situation
  • Try to be positive
  • Talk to a therapist
  • Use some form of yoga or meditation to lose stress

HOW CAN STRESS AFFECT YOUR DAY TO DAY?

  • Stress can cause you to not get enough sleep which will cause you to do worse in work/school
  • Stress can also cause you to procrastinate important projects
  • Stress can make you angrier in general at random things or people
  • You can get anxiety which makes it hard to talk to people
  • You. Won't eat as much or you could eat to much
