A lot of the time in a band or orchestra we need to communicate when we’re going to start or end or what song you are going to play and so much more! In a band you need to communicate! Otherwise Nobody will know when to play or when to stop. It is a very crucial part of playing. The director can help tell you if one part for instance the violin stops and They can tell the chellows to Play louder or faster and higher. You can find
A lot of these in school and you may even
Play one in music class!
In school there is a lot of ways to communicate one of them is during projects, giving feedback, and more like partnering up with a friend on an assistant. Why do I need a partner? A lot of the time you are in school they will assign an assignment that you can’t do on your own but with a partner you can get in done faster, Better, and More presentable. In a classroom when a teacher asks you if you are paying attention and how do they know when your not? A main part of both participation and communication is good eye contact!
School independent learning:
In school a lot of the time you need to do independent Learning. The teachers will assign work and you have to go of and do it. But what do you do when you get an assignment? You do independent work and work hard to get in done. A good way to track down and see what you did and didn’t do is to get a sticky note or an assignment notebook and Write them down this can save you a lot of time and it’s beneficial for you! What is another good way to do your independent work? A good way to do independent work is to manage time that can help a lot when you have hard assignments! So when you have a clock or timer by you or even a iPad/any device would work. Just set a timer and when an assignment gets to hard and you need a break set a timer for a recommended time of 5 min then get back to it this can help you focus, calm down, think better, and so much more then after your break you can get straight back to it this also helps with control over anything you have to know that you are getting things done that also can be proved that you did a good job is when on your assignment notebook is full of checks
A growth mindset can help you in many different ways having a growth mindset can help you learn, feel accomplished, gives Success and Confidence! It can make others look up to you and you feel happy when you get mistakes you are not scared of your own reflection you challenge your own reflection to win. You take the hard road! An academic mindset is much like a growth this is a good example of one! There was two small seeds that were planted the same time. One of them had an academic mindset and the other was scared the seed with the academic mindset was cereus and wanted to learn and see the outside world but the other seed was scared and didn’t want to grow. The seed that has the academic mindset grown into a be a beautiful flower as the other seed stayed down and stayed scared but got still grew into a small bud (It’s a flower that’s pedals did not grow yet.) the flower that had the academic mindset grew way more than the small bud this is kind of like how if you have an academic mindset you will grow just like the flower. And you will learn way more just like the flower! Kind of like the growth mindset the academic mindset can help with confidence and growth in learning.
You need to had grit in order to continue on and continue your challenge in order to be able to Continue to advance! But what does grit mean? Grit means that you are strong and are ready for challenge and that your ready to take the hard path and this is an example a person With NO grit might say. “UGH This is to hard” “Is this impossible” “THIS IS STUPID!” but a person With grit might say. “Wow this is hard but I’m going to go back and reread this then ask for help if I need it” “hmm My project looks good but how can I improve it?” “Wow I understand it now!” But how can I change it to be even Better?!” The person with grit is up for the challenge and doesn’t care if it’s hard and instead of giving up and walking away they stay there cand work hard to understand it and work hard to make it better and better. Then when the final results on both of their grades were that the person who had NO grit got a D- and the person who had grit got an A+ On there project! Grit can help you so much and it is a important ingredient to success.
A good way to do any project or assignment is to think critically. But how do I do this? To think critically you first do the best you can or the project or at least try to make it look nice and very presentable meaning that you make it look nice and make sure it’s readable. Then you can go to a friend, classmate, or peer, and ask them to check over or give feedback on your writing this can help fix mistakes you you the Writer might not see. A good way to think critically is to ask questions answer them with detail. But not questions that start with Who, what, we’re, why, in order to make a good question you need to put important or strong information that you know the answer to for instance, The American flag was created in ____ but who made it? In _____ (there name) created the American flag.
