refers to the loss of water-soluble plant nutrients from the soil, due to rain and irrigation.

Apartheid
was a system of racial segregation in South Africa enforced through legislation by the National Party (NP) governments

Barter
a system of exchange by which goods or services are directly exchanged for other goods or services without using a medium of exchange, such as money.

Deforestation
the removal of a forest or stand of trees where the land is thereafter converted to a non-forest use.

Refugee
a person who is outside his or her country of origin or habitual residence because they have suffered (or feared) persecution on account of race, religion, nationality, political opinion, or because they are a member of a persecuted 'social group' or because they are fleeing a war.

Mercenary
a person who takes part in an armed conflict, who is not a national or a party to the conflict and is "motivated to take part in the hostilities by the desire for private gain."[

Ethnocracy
a form of government where representatives of a particular ethnic group hold a number of government posts disproportionately large to the percentage of the total population that the particular ethnic group(s) represents and use them to advance the position of their particular ethnic group(s) to the detriment of others.

Enclave
any portion of a state that is entirely surrounded by the territory of another state.
