SUBARACHNOID SPACE

  • Attaches to inner most membrane the pia mater
  • The subarachnoid space is filled with cerebrospinal fluid
  • CSF circulates in the subarachnoid space

CEREBROSPINAL FLUID

  • Which is also CSF is a watery broth similar to blood plasma
  • It contains less protein, more vitamin c, and it's ion composition is different
  • CSF is continually formed from the blood by the Choroid plexuses
  • CFS circulate from the two lateral ventricles into the third ventricle, and then through the
  • Cerebral aqueduct of the midbrain and to the forth ventricle dorsal to the pons and medulla oblongata
