Mustard gas had a huge effect on society
In world war 1 it either caused or help lead soldiers to their deaths.
Or it caused the soldiers to become unrecognizable.

Next it lead to the death of men in the Iraq- Iran war
Also it help lead to the Geneva conventions prohibiting the use of chemical weapons.
