WHAT IS A SUBSTITUTE?

AS IN A SUBSTITUTE GOOD, NOT A SUBSTITUTE TEACHER

Substitute
- Good used in the place of another, like a replacement product

WHY BUY A SUBSTITUTE

  • Similar to original product
  • Something makes it more desirable
  • Bought when original's price rises as alternative
  • Bought when substitute has better price
  • You can only buy one or the other, not both
