3.
GEOGRAPHIC BOUNDARIES
(Shown in the background.)
4.
GOVERNMENTS
Each city-state of Sumer had its own ruler, which were equivalent to kings.
5.
ECONOMY
Sumerians had a system of money and trade.
Their currency looked like metal coil.
They had surpluses of food and goods so things could be sold with the system.
6.
HIGH POPULATION
Lots of people could live in one place.
Sumer had separate city-states because it was so big do there was a lot of people.
7.
SOCIAL CLASSES
The social classes in Sumer were (from highest to lowest):
Rulers... High priests & nobles... Officials, scribes & minor priests...
Craftsmen... Servants, laborers, & peasants.
8.
CULTURE
Sumer made sculptures of various things (like image behind),
and Sumerians had religion, since they had made offerings to gods,
plus, they made sacrifices and had religious ceremonies.
I believe their learning system was just to teach each other.
9.
SYSTEM OF RECORD KEEPING
They had a writing system (shown in picture),
A counting system, since they came up with the '60' counting system
And they had a time/calendar system because they used the 60 counting system for it.
