In college, he went to Endinburgh University and studied law. At the end of his enrollment, he decided he had a true passion for writing. He wrote his first volume at age 28.
Robert Louis Stevenson fell in love with a married woman, Fanny Osbourne, and soon she fell in love with him. She soon divorced her husband to be with Stevenson. They had a honeymoon in Napa, California.
Soon after marrying Fanny Osbourne, Stevenson got a case of Hemmorrhaging Lungs. During this period of time, he couldn't do much but write, so he wrote Treasure Island, The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, and many more stories that are still very famous today.
