EARLY LIFE

• Born into a fmily of poor farmers
• His brother brought him to honolulu where he first was introduced to western civilization
• Then moved back home because his brother objected to his penchant for christianity
• He transferred to the government central school
• He then married, women who was chosen by his parents and had two daughters and a son

POLITICAL IDEOLOGY

• Had philosophy known as the three principles of the people
• Principle of democracy, nationalism, and welfare
• In 1894, he began ti call for the abolition of the monarchy an the establishment of a republic
• His plan failed and was exiled from europe, the US, canada and japan

KEY EVENTS

• Was the leader of the chinese kuomintang
• Known as the father of the revolution or the father of the republic
• He struggled to bring a nationalist and democratic revolution to china
• Was important in overthrowing the manchu dynasty
• He served as the first provisional president of the republic of china
