Three Schools
At SUNY Potsdam, we offer over 40 majors and minors. At Potsdam, you do not have to declare a major right away; if you'd like to come into the College as an Explorer, you're welcome to do so!

Here's a little more about what our three schools offer to prospective students:

The School of Education and Professional Studies includes majors like Early Childhood Education, Community Health, and Business Administration.

The Crane School of Music offers majors like Business of Music, Theory, History and Composition, as well as Music Education and Performance.

The School of Arts and Sciences offers our largest array of majors from Archaeological Studies, Environmental Studies, to Politics or Geology.

Want to design your own major? You can do that at Potsdam with our SIMM (student initiated interdepartmental major) In the last few years, we have had students create plans in Arabic Studies and Arts Management.
