PRESENTATION OUTLINE

SUPERCOMPUTERS IN THE FUTURE

MACK SWANSON

THE PROBLEM

  • Current year computers are slow and cannot process lots of information
  • Cannot process the information in big amounts

THE FUTURISTIC COMPUTER

  • It's called a Quantum computer that has a more developed processor and better circuitry

WHEN WOULD THIS BE READY?

  • Quantum computing is already being used in the world, but scientists are developing new ways of making different types of computers.

FIVE ADVANTAGES

  • Faster
  • Can process more info.
  • Can store more info.
  • Their able to replace current supercomputers
  • Some requests can finally be done with quantum computing

3 DISADVANTAGES

  • The processor must be 1 degree kelvin
  • They can draw lots of power
  • Can be complicated to program
