Untitled Slide

  • Algae doesn't have roots, stems,or leaves like real plants do.
  • Algae is not a real plant. They have plant like orginisims though.
  • Algae contains chlorophyll that lets them create their own food through photosynthesis.

  • Algae produces animal feed with micro algae.
  • Algae can be cultivated to produce a variety of products for large to small markets:plastics chemical feedstocks lubricants fertilizers and even cosmetics.

Untitled Slide

  • Algae also severed as a food for fish or other animals in the sea.
  • Thick layers of algae, called algal blooms, may form when waste materials are dumped in the ocean.
  • The water may eventually become extremely low in oxygen and will be un fit for use by people.

Untitled Slide
