FLAG OF CHINA

  • 中國 的國方㠱 or Zhōnghuá Mínguó Guóqí
  • Flag was adopted in September 1949
  • The red color symbolizes the revolution
  • The large star represents the communist party
  • The smaller stars represent the people of China
The Four Social Classes that the stars represent are workers, farmers, poor people, and scholars

FLAG OF TAIWAN

  • Names of flag: Blue Sky, White Sun, Wholly Red Earth
  • Pinyin and characters: 台灣的國旗 tai wan de guo qi
  • Blue: liberty, justice, and democracy
  • Red: fraternity, sacrifice, and nationalism
  • White: equality, frankness, and the people's livelihood

Emblem on the flag smbolizes the white sun with 12 triangular rays to represent the 12 months of the year.

  • The design includes, a white sun and blue back ground
  • .Each ray represents Chinese hours
  • It's apart of ROC, and the naval jack
  • tái wān de guó huī

The design is a white sun with white rays with a blue back ground.

The rays represent the 12 months in the Chinese year, and the rays represent the Chinese 12 hours but each ray symbolizes 2 hours regular hours.

The whole emblem itself represents a symbol of the ROC (republic of china) naval jack.

NATIONAL FLOWER OF TAIWAN

  • Plum Blossom
  • 梅花 or méi huā
  • Symbol for resilience and perseverance in the face of adversity.
  • It is also called Chinese Plum and Japanese apricots
  • Plum trees were grown for two reasons
-Huangmei county features a 1,600 year old plum tree from the Jin Dynasty.

1)Planted for its fruits

2) As a ornamental plants
- The trees can live for more than 100 years and blooms once a year
