  • Tanzania kids walk to every where they go and to go to school they walk 1-7 miles.
  • Charlotte kids can take the bus or ride the car.

ELECTRICITY

  • At Lemanyata school they have no electricity so no smart boards or white boards.
  • At PD we have electricity and we have smart boards and white boards instead of chalkboards

  • At lemanyata school they have 100-125 students in a class.
  • At Providence Day we have 17 to 21 people in fourth grade.

Hours in School

  • In Tanzania kids have school 7:00 - 3:00.
  • In Charlotte kids have school 8:00 - 3:00.

CLOTHES/ DRESS Clothes

  • The kids at lemanyata school wear a white under shirt and blue sweaters.
  • At PD we the boys have to wear collared shirts and nice dress shorts or pants.

  • In Tanzania the main animals are Zebras, giraffe, hippos, lions, goats, and birds.
  • In Charlotte the wildlife are hawks, squirrels, deer, foxes, and birds.

  • In Tanzania there are over hundred languages.
  • The official language spoken is Kiswhili.
  • In Charlotte there are a lots of languages but the main language is English.

schools

  • most kids in Tanzania go to elementary school and they often have to walk to school.
  • Some kids play so far away that they have to live at school and can only return to see their families on weekends and holidays.

  • Tanzania is one of the poorest countries in the world. People in Tanzania make money by selling crops .charlotte is not poor and we have lots of buildings.
  • And we get our food from grocery store to get food.

  • Tanzania has Independence day on December 9.

FOODS

  • Some common foods are bananas, rice and corn
  • Most Tanzanian families eat egali once a day. Ugali is a stiff porridge made from corn.
  • Food in Charlotte is hamburgers, hotdogs, pizza, barbecue, and fries.
