  • A parasitic flatworm that live in the intestines of some animals.
  • Drinking contaminated water can cause animals to become infected with these parasites.
  • When you come in contact with an animal that has tapeworms, you ingest microscopic tapeworm eggs.
  • Attach themselves to humans.

  • Wash hands before cooking
  • Cook food thoroughly
