• Now that you know the pattern you have to find
• out how many coins Pirate Pete will have when
• Pete has 20x as many coins as Paul?

• find out how much treasure Pirate
• Pete will have.
• It also will keep the date organized

SOLVE

• The pattern that we found is starting at the the
• Every # starting with 1x1 and forward multiplying the
• Next # by halve.
• 1x1=1, 3x2=6, 5x3=15, 7x4=28 and so in until you get
• ............ 40x20=800+ 40 giving you 840 total

CHECK

• 840-20x40=40
• And the 40-40=0
