ACCOMPLISHMENT OF PURPOSE
President Reagan's words had a lot of weight because of his position as president which made him seem credible.
He combined his position with logical examples and moral appeals to provide a convincing argument.
In order to make a convincing argument Reagan acknowledges the opposing views of other leaders
he gains credibility through rationality,logic and moral values
LOGIC
- exemplifies other countries, their prosperity and stable economical statuses because of freedom.
- Lures people into believing that obtaining freedom is necessary
- uses facts that support his claim to appeal to the listeners by telling the positive outcomes of having freedom.
- uses facts to show the negative effects of not having freedom.

LITERARY DEVICES
- uses imagery throughout the speech to compliment both ethical and logical examples
- He starts the speech with an image of beaten down Germany and ends with showing signs of hope.
- He uses emotional, persuasive,credible and concerning tones.
effectiveness
- the audience felt connected to President Reagan because of his moral appeals and sense of patriotism.
- His speech eventually did tear the Berlin Wall down.
- His credibility and ethical values reached out to the audience despite of lack of statistic data.
- It influenced people to be driven towards freedom
CONCLUSION
- Overall Reagan's speech was very well rounded and balanced ethics,values and morals perfectly to influence the people of West Berlin.Although it wasn't fast,Reagan eventually did meet his ideal purpose.
