• An establishment that breeds puppies for sale, typically on an intensive basis and in conditions regarded as humane.

Puppy mills across the U.S. needs to be stopped.

PROBLEMS IN PUPPY MILLS:

• Dogs kept in wired-floored cages that lead to injuries.
• Female dogs are bred at every opportunity with little or no recovery time.
• When female dogs are to the point where they can't reproduce, they're often killed.
• Illness and diseases are common in dogs, for example like epilepsy and heart disease etc.

IMPACTS AND EFFECTS TO PUPPY MILLS

• Puppies often arrive in different pet stores and their new homes with diseases or infirmities. Which can spread to people that can get them sick.

IMPACTS AND EFFECTS ABOUT PUPPY MILLS

• As a result, the U.S. market has seen an increase in imported dogs in bad health and/or possibly carrying diseases that could harm other animals.

SOLUTIONS:

• "The best way to find a companion animal is through an animal shelter or a rescue group."

CALL TO ACTION:

• Puppy mills across the U.S. need to be stopped, so the way to do it is to adopt a dog from a pet store.
• Spread the problem of puppy mills to others.
• Write letters to government or organizations.
