FACTS ABOUT THEODORE ROOSEVELT

  • He has two sisters Anna and Corinne, and a brother Elliott.
  • He lived in New York for many years.
  • When he was younger he got a horse named General Grant for his birthday.
  • When he was eleven he had a bad asthma attack and throughout his life he had many health problems.
  • He traveled to Germany for a couple of months then returned to his New York home.

  • He was born on October 27, 1858 in Georgia ( 1858 - 1919)
  • He was tutored at home by private teachers for school.
  • When he went down west he really liked the frontier ways of life so he bought two ranches and a thousand head of cattle.
  • His father is Theodore Sr. And his mother is Martha Roosevelt

INTERESTING FACTS NOT FOUND IN BOOK

  • Youngest man ever to become president in the United States.
  • Teddy took office at the age of 42.
  • He ran for president again in 1912 as the "Bull Moose" party candidate.
  • He enjoyed swimming, hiking, boxing, hunting, and horseback riding.
  • In October 1879 he met Alice Hathaway Lee ( 1861 - 1884) then they got married on his 22nd birthday.
