We know now that it takes the human brain a full 25 years to fully form. When does the largest, most rapid growth spurt in the brain occur? During the teen years. This bombardment on the brain often results in reckless, risky behavior lacking forethought.

awknowledge, seek help, reach out
Such an important, and often neglected part of this process! Acknowledge the feelings you have about facing this tough circumstance, seek help in the form of professional counseling if necessary, and reach out! There are countless support groups face-to-face or even online. If you don't take care of yourself as a parent, you will not be able to be there for your teen.
