  • It is hot in the summer 80-100 degrees F.
  • And cold in the winter 32 to -40 degrees F.
  • It gets up to 10 1/2 inches of rain a year

  • There are lots of animals.
  • Mammals like antelope and bison.
  • Reptiles like garter snakes and toads.
  • Gophers and prairie dogs thrive here.

  • There is a cattle egret.
  • There is a bobwhite quails
  • Also there is a killdeer.
  • And a Sandhills crane.
