Stephano

  • Quote, "Drink, servant monster, when I bid thee..."
  • This is saying that Stephano is inviting Caliban for a drink.

Ariel

  • To Caliban, "Thou liest."
  • This is saying that Caliban is a liar.
  • This starts a big quarrel between Trinculo and Caliban.

Caliban

  • To Trinculo, "What a pied ninny's this!-Thou scurvy patch-I do beseech thy
  • Greatness, give him blows"
  • This is basically threatening Trinculo to hurt him. 

Trinculo

  • To Stephano, "Why, what did I? I did nothing. I'll go farther off"
  • This is saying that Trinculo said nothing and he's going farther away.

Ariel

  • Says to Caliban, "Thou Liest"
  • Then Stephano beats Trinculo

Stephano

  • To Caliban, "Monster, I will kill this man"
  • Stephano is saying that he will kill Prospero.
  • He agrees to kill Prospero because Caliban was treated badly when Prospero 
  • arrived.

Ariel

  • *Plays a  tune on a tabor and pipe*
  • This starts confusement between all of them.
  • Then Caliban tells that there is usually strange noises on the island.
  • Then they follow the tune.
