ThE PREFIX UN AND THE SUFFIX ABLE

  • When you add the prefix un to a word, it changes the meaning of the word to the opposite. for example well becomes (unwell ) pleasant becomes ( unpleasant ).
  • The suffix able can turn a verb like ( imagine ) or ( drink ) into a adjective like ( imaginable ) or ( drinkable )
  • Think of one word with UN word and ABLE word. For example: with the prefix ( un ) Un sad. With suffix ( able ) flyable
  • Put the word Un sad in a sentence: The boy is un sad.
  • Put the word flyable in a sentence: The birds is flyable.

Questions and statements

  • Questions often beginning with a question word such as ( who ) what is the questions words it is ? ( what - where - when - why or who ) for example: { what is The name of this toy ? } { Why are you running so fast ? }
  • Statement, the subject of the sentence usually comes before the verb for example: { I went to the school yesterday. } ( I ) is a subject and ( went ) is a verb
  • What is the answer is it question or statement ?
  • a . Why does the Author say it’s not a real story ? It is a question.
  • b . Why you did not buy the English copy book today ? It is a question
  • c . I read yesterday about a cakewalk. It is a statement.
  • d . I love comprehension books. It is a statement.

  • Connectives help the reader to see the connection between one sentence or paragraph and other
