You Don't lose points

• When taking the ACT, wrong
• answers don't lose points.
• So always be sure to answer
• every question before the
• test ends.

It's Ok to Guess

• Since getting wrong answers
• won't negatively affect your score,
• guessing can help even if you have
• just a slight inkling of the
• correct answer. You could get it right!

Plugging in Answers

• Even though it takes a lot of time
• plugging in answers as a strategy,
• it can be beneficial if you don't know
• another way of solving it.
• If you do know a faster way, use it!

Guessing & Checking

• If you can guess and check for
• a problem, look for the largest and
• smallest numbers. This can help
• when finding the LCD or LCM.

Calculators

• Calculators are allowed on
• the ACT! So use them!! They are
• enormous time-savers and won't
• make a silly calculation mistake
• like the mind can, unless it's typed in wrong.
