What is the standard error measure?
It is an estimate of a student's true score based on their observed test performance.
Validity is the extent to which a test measures what it purports to measure.
What is test reliability?
Reliability is the degree that an assessment produces stable and consistent results.
What is the difference between local and national norms?
A person's score is compared against the group (local group or national group).
What is a quantitative assessment?
A test that uses numbers to interpret data is quantitative.
What is a qualitative assessment?
Gathering information that yield results that cannot easily be measured by or translated into numbers.
What is a nonverbal assessment?
The content of the assessment are in the form of patterns and shapes. However, the intelligence required is not different.
What is an authentic assessment?
Measurement of intellectual accomplishment that are worthwhile, significant, and meaningful as compared to multiple choice standardized tests.
