The 80's were a time of unity. We overcame many challenges as a nation to form a 'more perfect union.' The election of Sandra Day O'Connor, the fall of The Berlin wall, and The Miracle on Ice are just a few examples.
Sandra Day O'Connor was the first woman elected into the Supreme Court. She was elected by President Ronald Reagan and served from 1981-2006. (25 years!)
