FIRST STEPS

INITIAL AREAS OF FOCUS

  • AT’s/PLC’s (Effective Collaboration Teams)
  • Timely Interventions (Tier ll, Cardinal Commons)
  • Blended Learning in all disciplines
  • School Culture (BDTW, Freshmen Mentorship Program)
  • PBIS (Restorative Court, Lunch Wraps)
  • Instructional Rounds

PLC COLLABORATION WEDNESDAY’S

  • 1st Wednesday of the month will be School wide
  • Second and third Wednesday will be department level PLC’s directed by LF’s and supported by Administration
  • 4th Wednesday will be either grade level or department level and directed by assigned administrators.
  • Any 5th Wednesday will be designated LF PLC

DCA (DEPARTMENT CHAIR/ADMIN)

  • Departments will select their own chairs through secret ballot(No Co-Chairs)
  • DCA will meet on the 4th Tuesday of the month.
  • This is where school wide ideas, issues, and problem solving will occur. Chairs will also manage department budgets.We will share information via Google Doc and allow LF input through designated time during the 4th Wednesday’s PLC time.

DREAM TEAM

  • Voluntary
  • Meet after school once per month
  • Focus on continued work to create/improve learner centered experiences (academic, social-emotional)
  • Developed ideas will be brought to DCA for discussion and eventual presentation to departments.
