THE GRAND CANYON

Was formed by erosion that occurred over a long period of time.

It is located in Northern Arizona. It is 277 miles long, up to 18 miles wide, and more than a mile deep.

NORTHERN LIGHTS

Vibrant colors in the sky caused by solar wind.

Located in the northern latitudes, it can be seen in Alaska, Canada, Ice Land and Norway.

RIO DE JANERIO

Was named after a non-existent river.

It is located on the coast of Brazil, in the state of Rio de Janeiro.

THE GREAT BARRIER REEF

Contains more 300 individual reef systems.

Off the coast of Queensland, Australia, the reef can be seen from space.

PARICUTIN: THE VOLCANO IN A CORNFIELD

The youngest volcano in the Western Hemisphere.

Now a national park, the volcano is located in the state of Michoacan of Mexico.

VICTORIA FALLS
