PRESENTATION OUTLINE

MEANDERS IN THE AMAZON!

By-JAKE LOCHAB-1M

All rivers, let alone the Amazon needs at least five processes to create their meanders...those five processes are;
1) Hydrolic Action,
2) Abrasion,
3) Attrition,
4) Deposition and
5) Solution.

Meanders form when curves or bends in a river develop along the mature (old) course of the river. As the water flows around the outer part, the bank gets deeper, and flows more slowly. As a result, the river deposits some of its load there.
