The first empire to rule all of Mesopotamia was the Akkadian empire it ruled from 2300 B.C - 2100 B.C

They were the first empire to have a official postal service. In 2100 B.C it was conquered by Sumerians.

The Babylonian empire lasted from 1894 BC- 1595 BC. They were the most powerful state after the fall of Assyria.

Under the rule of king Hammurabi Babylon established a bureaucracy, conducted major road work and turned Babylon into a empire to be reckoned with

The Assyrian empires most powerful lifetime was 744 BC - 612 BC. There entire life time was from around 2000 BC - 612 BC

The assyrians had one of the strongest military's in the ancient world. They were ruthless and experts in warfare

The Neo Babylonian empire lasted from 626 BC- 539 BC. They allied with a few other empires and destroyed the Assyrian empire where Babylon to back its kingdom

In 539 BC the neo-Babylon empire was conquered by Cyrus the Great king of Persia
