  • Pennsylvania's The Atlantic Coastal Plan is part of the Delaware River Valley.
  • Settlements grew into cities.

Growth along the Fall time

  • A merchant buys and sells goods for a profit
  • Rivers and streams form waterfalls as they drop at the fall line.
  • Philadelphia's location at the fall line also helped it grow.
