On October 2, 1835 rebellious Texans and Mexican soldiers clashed in the small town of Gonzales
That was the first battle of the Texas Revolution from Mexico
The battle resulted in one dead Mexican soldier but no other casualties.
The Texans were becoming more rebellious defying rules, smuggling goods in and out of the region and disrespecting Mexican authority
