The Battle of Saratoga was important in the American Revolution because of the victory by the patriots. Which was considered the turning point in the war. This is why the Battle of Saratoga was important.

The French army helped the American army in battling the British army. One reason the Americans won the second battle is because of the military assistance of the French army. The French also helped by disrupting the routes of British supply ships.

General Burgoyne decided to attack the Americans again instead of returning to England. Then he realized that that was a very bad idea. General Burgoyne got captured for this mistake.

After the first battle the Americans where they could win the battle against the British. That is when the French decided to help the Americans. 90 men were killed by the British Army and 440 men were killed bar the American Army. 240 men were wounded by the British Army and 695 men were wounded by the American Army.None of the American army were captured and the men that were captured in the British army where 6,222 men.

The American army won with the help of the French army. In the first battle they also won, that is why the French army helped the Americans on the second battle. The American had 3 people left and the British had only person left and that person was General Burgoyne so he had to surrender.
