WHAT ARE THE BEATITUDES?

• Blessed are the poor in spirit
• Blessed are those who mourn
• Blessed are the meek
• Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness
• Blessed are the merciful
• Blessed are the pure of heart
• Blessed are the peacemakers
• Blessed are those who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness

Blessed are those who are poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven

• You are not confident in what you do.
• You often feel belittled.

Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.

This means those who are sad, will feel better.

• This means those who are sad, will feel better.
• You will be helped.
• Those who are sad, should remain hopeful

Blessed are those who are meek, for they will inherit the eart

Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.

• If you are merciful, others will return the favor.

Blessed are the pure of heart, for they shall see God.

• Those who think well, will see God.
• Try to avoid negativity.

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.

• Make peace with people who insult you.
