This beatitude means that we understand what God has done for us and the gifts He has given us. It means to know that God created us and everything around us. It also means that we know to teach others of God’s creation to whom may not follow Him.
This second beatitude means that we will feel the sadness of the person who mourns but we must comfort them. We know that if God was in our position He would comfort the people who mourn. If we truly love others their failings and their sorrows will make us sad. We must teach each other that in the darkest of times, God is with us and we must be strong.
This third beatitude reminds us to be gentle and kind to one another as Jesus was. It teaches us that being patient is key to knowing God. We must use Jesus as an example for being a gentle person. A gentle person is someone like Jesus who is kind, patient, polite, loving, and strong.
This fourth beatitude teaches us that those who hunger and thirst may have different meanings. One meaning would mean those who do not have food and how we must love them and bring them food. Another meaning could be those who hunger and thirst for the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ, meaning those who wish to follow God and love Him the way He loves us.
This fifth beatitude reminds us to forgive and forget. Jesus invites us into His faith, even when we sin He asks God to forgive us. He forgave those who nailed Him to the cross and hurt Him. We must learn from Him and forgive those who hurt us.
This sixth beatitude reminds that we must keep God in the center of our love. This beatitude means that we must keep God close in our hearts and before anything else. It means we call on God during our troubles and trust in Him during our dark time. Jesus was always clean of heart by keeping God as close to his heart as possible. We can use Jesus as an example for being clean of heart.
This beatitude means that in order to become peacemakers we must follow God. The peacemakers are the people who follow Jesus and preach is word. They make peace between one another and end violence. Reconciliation is key to becoming a peacemaker and being free of sin helps bring within ourselves.
BLESSED ARE THEY WHO ARE PERSECUTED FOR THE SAKE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS
This beatitude teaches us that we don’t have to be scared of what people say about our faith. Our faith is what created us and we must remember that. God reminds of who we are through our faith. We are children of God and no one can put us in a place that tells us we are not.
