  • Mongols
  • Spread from China to Europe
  • Mongols attacked with dead bodies
  • Biological war
  • Fleas and rats

  • Thought it was happened because of sins
  • Some priests were considered corrupt
  • Blames Jews for the plague
  • Jews had to have permission to be in the town

ILLNESS EFFECTS

  • Bumps on neck, groin & armpits
  • Death would come if it reached lungs
  • Contagious
  • Fever
  • Vomiting blood

SOCIETY EFFECTS

  • Killed 40-60% of Europe
  • 50% of Britain died
  • Rumors that humanity was being wiped out
  • Torched villages to get rid of evil
  • Couldn't escape
