THE FRENCH HORN

• The French horn originates in France
• Up to 18 feet of tubing rolled up in a circular shape

THE TRUMPET

• Some old trumpet like instruments were made of conch-shells
• The trumpet is the smallest in it's family,but it is the highest piched

THE TROMBONE

• The trombone is the only instrument in it's family that uses a slide
• If you stretch out a trombone it's up to 19 feet long

THE TUBA

• The tuba is the largest and lowest instrument in the brass family
• The tuba largely replaced the ophicleide
