BURMESE PYTHON

THIS IS A GRANITE BURMESE

SIZE-LENGTH AND WEIGHT

  • There length is 12-19 feet long.
  • They weigh 180 pounds.
  • Sometimes they can weigh more than 200lbs

PREY

  • They kill there prey by quickly wrapping them around and squeezing them to death
  • This method is called constricttion
  • Their prey includes large species such as white tailed deers,American alligators and bobcats
  • They prey on more than 20 species of native mammals
  • It also swallows it's prey whole were it gets digested in the snakes stomach

DIET

  • They eat birds and mammals
  • They are often found eating rats and mice

NONPOISONOUS

  • Not poisonous
  • Bite is painful though

LAY EGGS?

  • They have 12-36 eggs in March or April
  • They incubate for 2-3 months
  • They can lay several eggs from 18-25 mins

EYES, SHAPE OF HEAD, TONGUE.

  • The head is an oval shape. It's eye color is black , brown , or reddish-brown
  • The iris is ninja star shaped or cat eyed
  • The shape of the head is between oval and triangular
  • Has a V shaped tongue
  • This Burmese Python has an brownish-red colored eye. It's iris is a cat eye

HABITAT

  • They are semi-aquatic
  • They live in diverse setting
  • Such as Mountains, Woodlands, Swamps, Marches, and grasslands
  • A lot of Burmese Pythons are located in The Florida Everglades
  • They are on,y found in Tropical Regions in the world

COLORS AND PATTERNS

  • Tan
  • With large dark brown Giraffe spots down there back
  • The skin helps the python blend in two that leaves
  • Brown with black shaped triangles
  • Or fully black

  • The Burmese Python is on of the largest species of snakes
  • It ranks 6
  • When the Burmese Python bites you they will not let go
  • The picture in the background was weird and interesting
  • Nearly 112,000 Burmese Pythons have been imported in the U.S. Since 1990

  • Burmese Python they use there sight and smell to locate there pray
  • Burmese Python have a developed sense of smell to make up poor vision and lack of hearing
