PRESENTATION OUTLINE
The St Brendan’s School year seven and eights went to Teapot Valley Christian Camp. This report will discuss the trip, the most exciting parts of camp and the activities on offer. It will also explain where Year 7&8 went on the camp itself.
The Trip
To get to camp, St Brendan's went on a ferry and a bus. The trip was really long and boring. First St Brendan's went on a Bluebridge ferry and watched “How to train your dragon 2”. It was so cool and exciting. On the bus, St Brendan's talked for the two hour drive and Calum threw up.
Facilities at camp
The Camp is really big and here are some of the facilities. When St Brendan's first got there, St Brendan's saw the girls cabins and the mess hall. But there is a hall and boys cabin and a pool. The facilities are all pretty cool but St Brendan's favourite was probably the pool.
Activities at camp
At camp, St Brendan's did a lot of exciting activities such as the flying fox, downhill carts and slug guns. St Brendan’s also did abseiling, rock climbing, top town, orienteering and confidence course. These activities were all so much fun and provided great excitement.
The food
At camp, St Brendan's had a lot of good meals. There was a really yummy roast, burgers and tasty NACHOS. The camp staff were very good at providing us with great flavours and satisfaction.
Where else?
St Brendan’s went to a lot of places, not just the campsite. The Nelson town centre was the venue for the amazing race. St Brendan’s also went to the Abel Tasman National Park to walk the Abel Tasman track. St Brendans also went to the centre of New Zealand. These places were so unique and enjoyable.
Our Favourites
There are a lot of cool things at camp and these are St Brendan’s favourites. The pool was very popular. The slug guns, water slide and maze were the most popular activities at camp.
Through these camp experiences, St Brendan’s pupils were helped to make new friends and build the confidence of the individuals and relationships within the whole group.
